Let me answer some of your questions

I absolutely love working with @simplybo

Photography

Q & A

I have been a professional photographer since 2016.

How long have you been doing this?

I truly believe it is the person and not the camera taking the picture.

But I currently shoot with

Canon 5d Mark ii and I have a back up body.

More importantly is the lenses though and I have quite a few of those in my bag.

What camera do you use?

I love capturing my kids.

But professionally, I love capturing people enjoying life. It could be at a wedding, during a portrait session, a cute family shoot moment. That is what brings me joy.

What is your favourite thing to photograph?

I am a natural light photographer but if there is no natural light, I do use flash.

But there is nothing like a pretty golden sunrise or sunset. So I prefer natural over flash by far.

Do you use flash?

I don't, but don't really need one either. My style if more lifestyle and natural and a studio setup is not really my vibe. We are really spoilt for choice in Cape Town so I make use of that and shoot outdoors for most of my shoots.

I also shoot at clients' homes and have some indoor locations I can use for rainy days.

Do you have a studio?

I will send you a document with lovely ideas of what to wear and what not to wear. As well as some tips for hair and make up. You don't have to buy a whole new look but if you feel beautiful during the shoot, you look more beautiful in your images.

What should we wear?

For a basic one hour shoot I provide a minimum of 80 photos edited in both colour and black and white.

How many images do we get?

Yes, I do edit! My editing style is very gentle. I do not change your body shape or the colour of your eyes or dress. But I edit by enhancing the colour, correcting skin tones and looking at the exposure to name but a few. I also edit small blemishes or imperfections that showed up on the day.

I edit in colour and in black and white.

Do you edit and our images?

ABSOLUTELY! They are your photos. And even though it helps my social media marketing to share them, I completely respect and understand you not wanting your photos in public. I always ask to find out if you are comfortable with me sharing them on Facebook and Instagram. I respect your wishes and ask that if you do share them, that you tag me so that I can follow the comments.

Can we ask you not to share our photos?

"I am here to make this a stressfree, fun and enjoyable time. So please connect with me if you have any more questions or worries!"

Wedding Photography

Q & A

If you like my style and photos, that's first prize. But if you book me, you will book more than just a photographer. I am there for you all the way and I treat you like family.

I solve problems and help you manage your big day so that you feel relaxed and loved all the way.

I deal with tears, break downs, toilet trips where I need to hold your dress up, fixing your make up, emergency sewing, that scary uncle that freak you out, family drama...you name it. I've got you!

And YOU matter to me. Not the perfect shot...well that too. But the two of you and what is important to you, is important to me!

And then...of course, I will capture your day and all the silly but significant moments in between so that one day you will look back and remember how you felt.

Why should we book you for our special day?

I capture LOVE. If you love each other and are making a commitment to honour that love, then hell YES, I wil capture it. Of course!

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?

This depends on your type of wedding. I have captured elopements and small breakfast ceremonies where I was only needed for 3-4 hours.

If you have an evening dinner and dance style wedding 8-10 hours is normally what would be needed. We capture the venue, groom and bride getting ready, bridal party, cermony, family shots and reception.

But we will work together on the perfect timeline to suit your special day.

How long do we need a photographer at our wedding?

No, sorry. I take thousands of images on your big day. Then I take great care to select the images that look best. If I didn't give you a photo, it is because it wasn't perfect.

Depending on the type of wedding and the package selected, you will receive more than enough images, PROMISE!

Also, I edit every single photo and will therefore never give you the unedited (RAW) photos. That is why it is so important to look at my work and see if you are happy with my editing style.

Can we get all the images you have taken?

I do use a second shooter. But I also try to keep packages affordable and do not automatically include a second shooter in my packages. But a second shooter is great if your budget allows one. I have regular photographers that I work with. It gives you extra angles and is a great way to ensure that we capture every single thing you need.

If you can't afford one, please don't stress. I still capture all the significant moments when I shoot alone.

Do you use a second shooter?

I have three standard packages starting at R6750 for the most basic one. I can also customize a package to suit your needs.

Please fill in the contact sheet and I will gladly send you the details of each package.

How much do you charge?

Well first of all, you get in touch either by filling in the contact form or by messaging me on Facebook or Instagram.

I then send you all the information and a contract to sign.

Once you have decided on the best package for you, you pay a booking fee to secure your date and we set up a meeting or book your engagement shoot.

You are required to pay the remaining amount by the day of your wedding.

I also offer payment plans should you need to use it.

How do we book and when do we have to pay?

This really depends on the season and when your wedding will be. But generally you will get a small preview within a week and the full collection of photos within 2 months.

How long do we wait to get our photos?

You need to like your photographer! I will be with you the WHOLE day! If you don't like my jokes or if I irritate you, then that just won't work.

So please chat to me. Follow me on Instagram. See if we "speak" the same language and value the same things.

And if we don't, then it is not meant to be. You need to find the best person to photograph YOUR wedding!
